Penedès region in Catalonia, Spain

The Penedès is a natural, historical region of Catalonia made up of different counties in the provinces of both Barcelona and Tarragona: the Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès, Garraf, and a part of Anoia and Alt Camp. An area with a wealth of historical and cultural heritage, as well as the natural beauty of four protected areas: the nature parks of Garraf, Olèrdola and Foix and the mountain of Montserrat.
Vilafranca del Penedès, Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Vendrell are its largest towns; all have excellent communications via motorway and railway with the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona and the Costa Daurada.
