Medieval Penedès tour

Medieval Penedès tour

Get to know the thousand-year-old history of monasteries and castles in the Penedès

Discover an 11th-century castle and 12th-century monastery from the medieval Penedès, a region which, during a large part of the Muslim occupation between 771 and 1153, acted as a frontier for the Spanish March. Settled by free peasants who owned their own land, more than fifty castles, fortresses and watchtowers were built in the region, providing an exceptional historical legacy as well as an impressive landscape. This journey through time is complemented with an aperitif consisting of a selection of local produce and some of the region's wines or cavas.
Available: Every day except bank holidays.
